10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING 1) Object appeared to be a bright star or lighted object. Motionless in the NE for 30 seconds then object dimmed and began to move to the NW. It turned red then dull red. It was traveling slower than an airliner passing. Then it accelerated to a tremendous speed and vanished.
11. COMMENTS Direction & maneuvers indicate that the sighting was possibly due to a/c. Nothing conflicting with this analysis other than the rapid burst of speed. Possible jet which turned on afterburner accounting for added speed. This indicated by the object's turning red.
