BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING: One star-like object at an azimuth of 310 dgrs from the tower. The object faded over the horizon. Aircraft scrambled but pilot experienced no joy. Seen through binoculars of unknown power.

COMMENTS: Star-like object seen at azimuth of 310 degrees would give the description of Venus and place the object at the same position as Venus.
