10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING one round, silver obj, size of basketball at arms length, appeared to be very bright. Obj seemed to go straight up and then drift off. Seen for a period of 10 minutes.

11. COMMENTS Weather at ADC revealed that a balloon was released from Vernallis, Calif., plotted over Roseville on 17 Aug. Description of obj, duration of sighting and fact that observer stated "object drifted off" all point to a balloon sighting.
