10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING One (1), tear-drop shaped object, silver in color, and having the appearance of a large balloon, and also having the appearance of a plastic bottom. Intercept action was taken but the object was above the 45,000 foot altitude reached by the pilots. One pilot stated the object was a balloon.
11. COMMENTS The description of the object has the characteristics of a balloon. One pilot stated the object was a balloon. A check by this headquarters with CCC Weather at ADC was positive. A balloon was over the area of sighting at the time of the sighting at an altitude of 60,900 feet. Resolved as; WAS BALLOON
