7. LENGTH OF OBSERVATION approx 30 seconds one upwards

10. BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING One white, circular object was observed to stand still for several seconds and then to rise fairly rapidly and disappear into the overcast.

11. COMMENTS Probably balloon, D/I, EADF stated it was his opinion that sighting was caused by a weather balloon since all facts in case supported this conclusion. Since this info was forthcoming soon after preliminary info was received, no investigation authorized.
