BRIEF SUMMARY OF SIGHTING [HW: Observer sighted object to the east at 0631Z at which time it disappeared & reappeared at 0834Z & lasted for approx 30 min.] Object initially obj changed in red to white & then to following colors "kelly green", blue, yellow, pink, prange, & back to white . Obj then ascended in to clouds w/green flase. 2. Saucer shaped obj, silver & variably colored, accompanied by blast in bottom was supposedly obsd by civilian news- paperman in upper NY State, arc rise & fall in approx same position.

11. COMMENTS Due to delay in receipt of preliminary rpt, fantastic nature of sighting, & suspicion of hoax fact that no other persons observed the object, no investigation is authorized. No Report In File.
