Sighting similar to s/c, however the speed indicated not in accord with this analysis.
11. BRIEF SUMMARY AND ANALYSIS Object was circular, then size of a pea held at 2 ft. It was bright orange, and did not change or fade. Object did three fast rolls and disappeared from sight, below. First observed at 38,000', first at 35,000'. Object fell in a fast curve. Air-Vision Observer Pilot descended from 38,000 to 28,000 at speed of 666 kph. Object rising at 666 kph. Pilot attempted to close on object. Pilot certain not a balloon.
