Aircraft reported an unidentified aerial phenomenon in front of them while W bound at FL360, 36NM S of MCI. The unknown phenomenon was reported as multi-colored flashing lights and leaving a contrail/wake behind it. SWA2520 (B737 STL_PHX, FL380) in trail reported the same phenomenon as possible reflections from a satellite. No evasive action reported by either ACFT. UFO Hotline notified. AWO advised.
